Another gear is needed methinks...
I have the same issue with mine. Had 75 once just to see how fast she'd go. Normally I barely touch 60. I need a 5th to bring my MPG down.

Would bigger tyres bring the revs down that much?

They'd bring them down a bit, and the bigger the tyres the bigger the drop in revs.

If your running standard, and you dont lift, you will be able to get 1" max safely. Now that wont alter your speedo that much 4mph ish?

Mine's got a higher top speed with 235x80 r15s on...

But then again I have 5 gears ;)

I can cruise at 70 at what sounds like about 4-5000rpm

lol yeah fair point... it's good on petrol at high speed.

I think that High Wycombe and back the other day on £30 was a bit adventurous

It's about 170 miles round trip lol

I got the beasty wheels/tyres today I've had my eye on for a while. Will get pics when I fit them.
The deal was tho whatever I pay for them I have to give an equal amount to the other half....
So I'm now £400 down after getting the wheels for £200 lol!
FML...
I hope its worth it!!

Going to need some wheel spacers as the fronts catch on the springs on full lock

Sweet! Looks cool!

Go to bits 4 vits or ebay for the spacers!
