How did you manage that :er: . The back plate stops the bearing coming out. Has it only got the inner bearing race left on it.

I found this photo in the disk conversion writeup. I guess some models have a seperate retainer plate. Good idea, mine I had to disconnect the hoses etc. I haven't seen a manual showing this seperate retainer either :er:



Edit - managed to find a diagram - said it was for the santana. Knew I'd find a diagram sooner or later :oops:

Some quality information there mate legend!

I did buy a wheel bearing months ago but never fitted it because i havnt got a slide hammer. Think i paid £50 odd quid for it which i thought was a bit steep.

That pic is the same as mine with the seperate retainer plate, it makes the job so much faster :thumbup:

£50 is a rip off price. You can get original Koyo bearing, retainer and oil seal for less than £30 http://www.bigjimny.com/store/index.php ... -/p_5.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A SKF bearing is a tenner plus vat for probulary the best brand bearing you can get.
