Just lift up an SJ axle in one hand and a jimny axle in the other... see which one you think is more substantial ;)

jimnys also cost a fortune to mod :S
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

spoa on 215 15

spua all the way, maybe grab some at/ road tyres cheap from ebay. sometimes people cant give them away. better fuel eco to i believe, i seem to get a couple of miles less with my mts (same size) than the road tyres i have too.

when did you last give it a good service? leads plugs etc etc . a simple service can make a huge difference to a small engine.

i get a cruising speed of 50 - 55 ish in my sami. will get over the motorway limits if i need to but thats pushing it. had my pick up at almost time travel speed once  .
i average 33-35 mpg. in the sammi with 195 80 15
pick up average 29 -31 with 235 75 15 - both with dodgey asin carbs.

use my sammi every day , love it :whitefront:

They're both tin tops! It should be illegal to strip and scrap them.
Keep atleast one for offroading/better finances.
You'll regret it and end up buying another sometime along the line, for more money.
Also youre not going to be getting your mud and addrenaline fix if you sell up. :(

ok ok.. i wont scrap it...

fuck i wont even strip it...

was getting abit panicy because all my SJ stuff is at work and i got a feeling going to have to leave soon. all these bits (and black sj) and know where to keep it all.

today i went round trying to find holes... armed with silicon.

few grommets missing but nothing that would indicate water getting in large quantities....

i had a mechanic friend come round and look at the chassis. its got an IMPRESSION on it... but not a full bend or a twist in the chassis so its ok.

i think i will have to sell the black SJ as it stands with a fucked engine and damaged door sill. just so can justify keeping all the bits and not have to find somewhere to store it.

but im not going to scrap it. i apologize for saying such offensive things.
