Re: Some sort of roof
All the monsoon ones are fabric, but Mine have been pretty water proof - more so than the window seals and the bulk head!!! As henry said you could keep your eye open for a buggered soft top on ebay (or place some classified adds) and then cut the back off it, and sew the straps on yourself, It could well be cheaper than buying a new one
Re: Some sort of roof
ah right them monsoon fabric ones fit in that lip round the front, again part of the hassle with my roof, especially as the poppers at the front are not there due to corrosion. A fibreglass one looks best its held in with springs.

ive a rollcage to fit into my anus so the back wont really need covered, i use the back for taking food and stuff to the cattle (my jeeps just a cheaper alternative to a quad)

Re: Some sort of roof
why don't you get some sheet steel/ally and make a roof for it? it's not that hard to do seal it with some silicone sealant to keep it watertight and rivet it down
mines not a standard soft top but it should give you an idea, I've seen it done on a few standard ones though.
