Virtual Lift
This is probably gonna make my seem a bit thick, but I've seen in Scottie J's signature, and googled it but I can't figure out what a virtual lift is. Can anybody shed any light on this for me?
Re: Virtual Lift
it's not really a lift of any kind, it's chopping out the arches to fit bigger tyres.
like this
You can actually cut out enough to run 35" tyres with no lift

Jep, me to, but guess what that's what I've started to do to mine, without knowing how good a mod it is or what it's called.
My SJ's at the second photo stage just a bit different shape as I'm fitting LR flexi arches.

I merged this topic with the last person to ask this It was in the wrong section, thats why you probably didn't see it so I also moved it into bodywork & Trimtwiss wrote:We'll wait for Scott to reply to this one, he's got the virtual lift
Personally If I was going to do a virtual lift again I would probably make complete new inner arches for the rear like how Shuduck has done his
note: he also raised the floor, you dont need to do this unless you want to raise the fuel tank.
Re: Virtual Lift
Very cool. Some of you guys do some extreme stuff im impressed
Re: Virtual Lift
I'm doing a virtual lift on my SJ but the boot floor has a thousand patches poorly welded to it.. So.. I was thinking about replacing the boot floor with a dam great sheet of checker/chequer plate??
Any thoughts on this??

Have you thought about buying a new rear floor?
