At least Kirton is only 150 miles from Swindon! It's 200 miles from here!

I've done 100 mile runs in the zook before, might have to do 100 then give it a rest for an hour...
Take a picnic or something haha

... and yeah can't wait for a 2012 event! Please not lincolnshire though its frickin miles away!

Maybe three events so all members can meet up at their closest event? Some members might like to do all three?
Lincolnshire in the north.(August?)
Somewhere on the south coast.(May bank holiday?)
And a third in a central location..Somewhere like oxfordshire?

NTM you wouldn't be stepping on anyones toes :lol:

Right I've been on the phone to a few places today and it looks like on average it will be around £500 to hire a site for the weekend so if we get 20 vehicles that will be around £25 each.

The 3 sites I'm looking at so far are

Avalanche- Sibbertoft- Toilets, showers, water on site etc. http://www.avalancheadventure.co.uk/4x4club.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wagtail - Honington- Field to camp in no toilets.map of location

Future 4x4 - Avon Dasset - Field to camp in no toilets but there is a camp site just down the road if you want a few more luxuries. http://www.future4x4.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Any other suggestions?

Out of those I would much prefer Avalance, or Future 4x4, just on the basis of the distance!

The avalanche site says its £200 + vat to rent the site for a day, that means half the vehicles are required to show up :-p
Looks like a pretty good site too!

Mine is almost ready but as its been off the road for a year I think its a bit risky to take it off roading without "running it in" first!!!
