Hey Jordi, I used a combination of the two  Jimny steering box (cause they fit straight in) and a vitara pump pully and resevoir. Defo worth doing in my opinion. I'v only had mine for a couple of weeks and i couldn't live with out it now.

Got my self a push start button, as my ignition was nackered and i'v been having to hotwire it for the last couple of weeks  . I wired it through a 40A relay, so this should hopefully get rid of the occasional clicky starter problem aswell.

Also going to stick a couple of immobilizing switches in while i'v got the wiring exposed.

I got my rocklobster in the post today :smokin:. Many thanks to Rockwatt for sorting it out for me. It's very much appreciated  .

Can't wait to get it on and take it for a blast :guns:. My standard transfer box has not been happy since i put the 33's on.

That sounds sweet ferris. I've still got my 410 box just sat on the floor. Someone thought it was a good idea to book a 3 wk fly drive to america. With that to pay for and having bn working like a dog the past few weeks time just seems to dissapear.

What was the damage for having it made if you dont mind?

Cheers
Jordi

I'v been doing a bit of maintenance/modifying to the SJ over the past week tryng to sort out a few annying problems. Mainly the massive oil leak, the over heating, and the shocking brakes.

So i changed the sump gasket, the oil pump gasket, and the crankshaft oil seal.
New cambelt and water pump.
Then got rid of the engine fan and put a electric one on.
Fitted my su carb.
Fitted vitara lwb front calipers with new discs and pads.

I did take some pics. Probably not very interesting but i'l post them any way  .

Is that rough country steering damper a direct replacement for the standard one?

It' not a direct replacement, it fits on slightly lower than the original. One end clamps on to the axle and the other end clamps on to the steering arm.

Here's the kit i bought to fit the YJ's, it's the JPeater kit from rockyroad. It looks like a pretty good kit, the only real problems i'v found with it so far is it's designed for a samurai, so i'v had to modify a couple of the brackets to fit. Also all the bolts they sent me are in imperial sizes  . Now i just need to finnish painting it all, source some suitable shocks, and bang it all on the SJ.
