Re: Pro comp steering damper
Hmmmm... I guess its one of those things...
Maybe its a case of it's ok if it came as standard, but retrofit is a no-no...
I still think it was the MOT tester being a pleb...
I've taken it off now anyway, I've bashed a few things (tree stumps) with the steering damper and want to keep it in working condition until I can fab up a decent chassis bracket for it

Ahhh that sounds like a good idea!
Unfortunately the truck isn't in the work car park today, its a few minutes walk so I can't get away with having a fiddle with it while having a cigarette!
Normally it's a case of go for a ciggy and re-wire the rad fan or lights or something, then come back in and wash the mud off my hands before number crunching again

Re: Pro comp steering damper
this has raised my concern.
i havent done anything with my steering damper.
its still fitted with the standard stock part. (probably needs changing) with the abuse the sj gets.
and so im guessing theres not 'bolt on' after market one either?

these ones are bolt on if you mean that fit in the standard position, not that I know of!Russ24 wrote:this has raised my concern.

It was one of those worth while things, I didn't appreciate how much I needed one until I got it

Any idea what length that pro comp one is Scottie? might aswell do that to save welding the bracket back on.
