I'm planning on putting some bucket seats in mine, I've emailed a seller on eBay for some measurements, I'm hoping they will fit.

I reckon you could get a set of buckets on the KJA, just have to make sure they are the right ones, and if anything, there slim build and nature (thinking of the kevlar composite ones i used to have in my escort) could give more room

I did take it for a longer drive, and OMG what a difference, a bad road no longer sends me all over the place, i keep on straight and true

one thing that worried me at first, until i worked out why, was the amount of extra steering i appeared to need going round corners it would almost be an extra 1/4 - 1/2 turn of lock on a normal is corner, then it hit me, the old springs and bushes must have been so knackered, and with the added SPOA forces too, body was in effect sliding over the axle.

very hard to explain but basically, when you steel the axle turns, and the body still goes on its original course, and with the steering box being mounted on the spring side of the suspension, acted as additional steering (half of you will know what i mean, the other half will be head scratching as i am not a great portrayer of my thoughts)

and the steering wheels, well, to be honest, i am half tempted to chuck them both, they are complete crap, the renault wheel, has just had a suzuki SJ spline cut off of a standard wheel, the wheel has then been hatcked to fit around it and 2 measly bolts hold it all together. the other wheel is trash, i may be able to save the boss and that is it. but oh well, some you win, and some you lose, just the way ebay goes.

as un update, i bought a back box for the SJ exhaust project, one from my mini days, an RC40 back box, will hook this straight up to the janspeed, and run some tube to the drivers side, always like the way the RC40 sounded on my tuned up mini, so should sound roughly the same on the SJ, more on that next week (if the box arrives, another Ebay bagain, think it was £2.50 or something)

I had bit of a result at the bootfair this morning, however it has left me in a bit of a dilema, Image

i got these for £25 the pair with subframes (from a proper mini) but i have a fear they might be too big but at the same time, will be so comfy

save the extra and get the proper ones, you will only regret it later on

The seats are pretty faded, but are very solid, didnt go out to buy them, but for £25 i couldn't say no, i will try and fit them in as even though the seats i have at the moment are pretty good, they are not the corbeau's

A Friend of mine did the Rocky Road coil spring conversion on a samurai, and that came with the rough country shocks, they were made very well, and worked well on the car, so that is what i am going to go for, just one axle at a time to start with, rather than the whole car in one go
