smoking sj
Re: smoking sj
How come he wants so much for it then? Did he say how many miles it has on it? It must be perfect for that price.

Re: smoking sj
£300 is very steep for a 410 engine! You could probably buy another 410 for that!!!
Of the engines I've bought now, my 1.6 8v was £100... Russ' 1.6 8v was £150, and my 1.6 16v was £200 but came with a gearbox, starters, dizzies, and loads of extra gubbins!

Don't be using diet coke, I think you need the full fat version
If the bodywork is good finding another engine is your best bet, shouldn't be too hard to find.

To the best of my knowledge, the engine blocks that bolt in easily are:
F10A, G13 and G16. This wiki page was quite helpful to me when I was researching the engine's reliability before I actually bought an SJ as I could look up what else had the same engines.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Suzuki_engines" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Speaking of which, I've often wondered it one of those Vitara 2.0 V6 engines would go into an SJ without too much difficulty.

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: smoking sj
As you have a 410, the only engine that will bolt straight in is a 410 engine I think... Maybe a suzuki carry 1.0 but I don't think so
If you want to put a 1.3 or a 1.6 engine in it, you will have to either move the engine mounts or put 413/samurai ones on it

Early super carrys, Bedford rascals etc all use the F10 engine.
You also need to move the engine mounts on the chassis no matter what mounts you use if you convert to a G13 or G16

Re: smoking sj
Oh, my mistake. I forgot to mention moving the mounts for converting between F and G.
