I would've though the biggest problem would be to join it all together. there's plenty of room for a V6 in there if you can get it mounted.

If there's a rwd gearbox that mates up to that engine and it will physically fit in the engine bay then it shouldn't be too hard
You'll just need to fab engine and gearbox mounts and a make a custom propshaft to join the gearbox to the transferbox
Quite a few people have fitted Mazda rotary lumps into SJs in the States.

They only do SJ Tubs not LJ ones, the first one is home made Luke, don't know about the green one?
