sammy soft top

Post by samurai gary » Thu Feb 02, 2012 5:22 pm

Hi, I have a samurai 1994, it was originally a soft top but has had a hard top fitted, I am planning on turning into a pickup, i want to know if the two bars, one either side, that are fitted to the bodywork and connected to standard roll bar are there for structual reasons or were part of the soft top and if they can be removed without doing any structual work to replace them.
My samurai is road legal so need to know for sure before i do any work.... Thanks

They just brace the rollover bar and are not required for the truck to be road legal.
