Black/white is switched live. On the coil via a connector it is normally then just white with a heat-sleeve. Yours is not the original wiring as it has a chunky brown :er:. I would just put some insulation tape on the end and leave it.

thanks for all the help guys but i think im just going to cover it in tape and buy a after market rev counter then i dont have to faff around with all these earth points and noise supressor thanks though :guns:

so the question is what after market rev counter do i go for has to be 52mm :D
