A few pics of progress, the list of things to do is getting shorter, I can't wait to get all the fabrication done so I can start painting, although I hate prepping for paint!

Front shock towers, the chassis has been plated with 5mm spreader plates with rosette welds.


The front arches have taken a lot of time and a lot of , The headlights are a very tight fit when you cut this much out the holes in the tops of the inner wings are for easy access to the top shock nuts, I will make some small covers for them.



All the welding on the bodywork is finished now next weekend i'll be doing the rear shock mounts, fuel tank mounts, exhaust and rocksliders.

Not sure why the attachment pics never completely load for me. When you load the photoshop pics I am able to see all of them after a few refreshs.

Got to see the 1st 2 and looks great Scott definately putting the fab time in. I see you made your own shock towers, I didn't even do that.


Must be nice to finally see the list is getting smaller. I'm not there yet!

I would like to cut my DD TT down into an extra cab version with a bed. Could use your tallents with the sheet metal.

I'm really happy with how the front arches have come out, I'll get a few more pics at the weekend with the front clip fitted so you can see just how tight it is around the headlights, there's less than an 1" clearance from the tyres at full bump when the steering is at full lock I'm actually amazed I've managed to make the original headlight surrounds work as well.

Spent most of Saturday doing my Dad's SJ so didn't get much done on mine, however did fit the front end to make sure everything clears, the SU was tight! because the engine has been raised I had to cut a hole in the bonnet as well could've just fitted a Sammy bonnet but I prefer the 410 one, it only pokes though by about 4mm so I might just leave it as a hole.
