Annoyed!! retaining spring clip broken :(

Post by chris71920 » Sat Jun 09, 2012 12:20 pm

Went to put the axle back together today after a broken Birfield (thanks to Scott for the replacement)

But now Ive come to put the joint back on the shaft, its broken the small retaining spring clip.....I then used the old one on my original shaft, the same!! I cant find anywhere that sells the things, so now cant get on!

Any ideas where to get them?? They're the "round wire" type, not the ones with eyes at the end

Thanks for the offer mate, all sorted now :)

Found a scrappy that had a big pile of random driveshafts so had a rummage and found a few clips SLIGHTLY thicker than stock, they fitted a treat and closed up in the groove perfectly, and as they were a little stronger the shaft tapped in no problem :)
