Am just building (and testing) a transmission dolly to convert my small trolly jack into a transmissin jack for removing transfer box and gbox. Will post details ans possibly a youtube piece.

Um.... Can anyone tell me where the balance point is on the combined gbox and transfer box.. Is the tfer box heavier than the gbox? I need some idea to safely position the support block before removing the rear support cross member..?

I'm pretty sure it'll be slightly bias towards the gearbox, the gearbox is the heavier of the two.

gearbox is deffo heavyer transfer box is not very heavy at all
ive thought about making a cradle to fit on my jack too but never got around to it & tbh its not often that i would drop the complete box off as clutch can be changed without dropping it
