I'm about to pull mine out with the engine.
Propably a stupid question but does the shaft to the tbox need un-bolting or does it just slide out?

Slides out
Might be a pain to slide back in tho so worth considering when refitting

Re: Gearbox removal
I'd unbolt it from the Transfer case anyway, only four bolts

Re: Gearbox removal
Any tips on seperating the gearbox from the enging? Been at it all morning and can't get them apart, it's doing my nut in.
Re: Gearbox removal
4 bolts hold g box to engine, then starter and shit guard underneath front of g box (2bolts) need to come off as they fit in behind the flywheel after that it should just slide right off :-)
if in doubt, FLAT OUT!
