Hi folks, first post. Could someone please tell me if they have a carb like this on the SJ. Basically The samurai i bought had this carb fitted, but the engine will not tick over and I'm finding it hard to located where everything should go
Checked all electrics and put a little fuel straight in the carb and the engine ticked over. Looks like the jet is blocked or knackered
Part numbers on carb are: AISAN 8F25
Thanks in advance
Could you please tell me which carb this is please?

The stock carbs are good when new, but 20 years down the line they are a bit crap to say the least
Here's a clean up guide http://www.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/diy/15-en ... down-guide
If you do that and it still has issues then I would suggest spending a bit of cash on an SU carb and modified inlet manifold to improve the running and power of the engine.

I always agree with replacing the standard carb. They are a good carb when they work properly but can be a giant pain in the arse if they aren't working. Overly complicated when they dont need to be!
Throw it at next doors dog and get yourself and SU, a weber or a nikki
