Thanks, i do mechanical work myself at work or at home whatevers easiest, but a friend of mine did all the bodywork and welding at his place.

Pleased with the results, now all solid just want to make a few more cosmetic improvements here and there and thats it

WOW! How much did it cost you to get her restored like that? Where abouts does your mate work. :P
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

The only paint thats new is down each side, the roof, bonnet and tailgate is as its always been except some detailing work by myself to get it looking as it does in the pics.

The tailgate still has a dent in it which spreads to the roof which i need to get done at some point.

I had all the metal arches removed and cut out, new plastic arches and arch support brackets made, new sills each side and a bit of panel work around the fuel filler, boot floor, passenger footwell and around rear body mounts in the rear wheel arch.

Altogether with paint and underseal and everything came to just over £900

That's great does your mate have his own bodyshop? Does he weld too? He's done a top notch job on yours, is consider taking him mine! What prep work did you have to do before it went in?

He runs his own small business based at his house and also works for other local garages with welding and body repairs, insurance work and stuff, MOT work etc. Hes into retiring age now and likes to take his time lol but does do a good job. I kept going round and chatting about what i want done and stuff and saw most of the work been done like.

before it went in i just did some simple stuff like strip the interior, remove the rear bumper, lights, wiring stuff like that.
