Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me out. I've sort of inherited a 1995/96 Suzuki SJ which I use to get about in. It's done about 75k. My other half bought it about 4 years ago; it's set up for road use.
What's the recommended mileage for changing the cam belt? Any advice greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Rachel

Re: When to change the cambelt on an N reg 1.3 Suzuki SJ
Hi to the club. My workshop manual only states to inspect and replace when necessary.
However on my grand vitara it's-
Suzuki paperwork states every 54,000 miles. Guys in the workshop recommend that mileage or every 6 six years, whatever comes first.
Hope that's some help.

First off Hi and to SCUK
Its a non-interference engine so no damage will be done if it snaps. Just a bit of down time while you replace it.
On the other hand its nice to have the peace of mind its not going to go when you least want it too.

Hi, thanks both for your help - have found some prices for parts off another link on here so I'll get the mechanic to have a look when it goes in for a check-up next. : )
