my grandad got me a suzuki samurai 1.3 injection engine which needed a new head gasket but it didnt come with a gearbox

quistions

1- can i change it to a carb instead of injection

2- can a 1.3 (non injection) gearbox fit on it

Yes and yes

Same basic engine so same gearbox bolt hole position.

Best way to convert to carb would probably fit an su.

I'd go for a rockwatt manifold and a HIF44. It's a fair bit to fork out but seriously worth it.
There's three ways of doing things:

And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I second that, definitely worth it getting an SU manifold!!!
You could always go for a standard carb but it's a waste of time lol

You will need a leccy fuel pump as well, as the injection engine doesn't have a built in fuel pump
