Front axle issue in 4wd

Starts at the flywheel, ends at the hubs, any problems along them lines, ask your questions here.

Thanks for the info I will check the bearings beforehand

I do know there is play in that wheel so could be wheel bearing anyway. Hopefully will do with new grease and adjustment instead of replacing but I don't mind replacing things just for piece of mind anyway.

What kind of movement will I notice if the kingpin is worn?

If it's just play and the bearing is still quiet when spun just regrease and tighten it.

for the kingpins, jack the wheel up and grab it at the top and bottom, try to wobble it and watch the seal on the knuckle, you'll see movement there if it is worn, there's usually shims you can pull out to tighten any play before needing to replace the bearings.

Bringing this up again. I think I posted in another post that I found the bearing to be loose so I repacked it with new grease and tightened up correctly.

That problem is still there however seems to be when I apply right hand lock doing up or downhill

Where is the best place to buy a new cv joint? And what would I expect to pay?
