Re: Spot light wiring
I got this on the back of a box of spotlights I bought, I thought it would be good to share as there often is a lot of 'where is legal for my spot lights to be mounted?'

Re: Spot light wiring
Just remember, this doesn't mean you're not allowed to have lights in different places.
It just means that they have to be in these locations if you want to use them on the road!

Re: Spot light wiring
Chrisdolf you do realise that it's a bit of a legal grey area to use roof mounted lights on road don't you? If a copper sees you with them on as he comes around a corner you could be pulled.

I was about to say the same. PC Plod will have your wallet if he catches you.ScottieJ wrote:Chrisdolf you do realise that it's illegal to use roof mounted lights on road don't you? If a copper sees you with them on as he comes around a corner expect to be pulled. Also it will not pass the MOT.
One thing that's always puzzled me, how to lorry's get away with having spots 12 foot up in the air.

Good job! Is your alternator working or have you just got too many spots for the existing alternator to cope with?
