Manifold Water Pipes

Post by Gardiner » Thu Nov 29, 2012 7:27 pm

I am thinking now to use the 8v inlet manifold as the inlet hole is round it suits my SU adapter better.
On old SJ inlet there is a "In and Out" small water pipe but on Vit one there is themostat,In Pipe underneath and 1 out has any one got any pics on there setup of pipes.
Many Thanks.

Not sure if I understand the question :er:

I believe the connection A goes to the end of the manifold for a manual choke carb.
I believe the connection A goes to the carb for a auto-choke version. The carb is feed hot water by the connection on the end of the manifold.
Are you wanting to use this to warm the SU adaptor ???

Sorry if I'm barking up the wrong tree :P .

Sorry after reading it did look confusing.
Yes I will be thinking of warming the SU but first I just want to get it running.
The pipe on the right was originally conected to under the manifold and the pipe on left was coming out of the manifold (Old manifold had 2 pipes on the left) Vit manifold only has one pipe on the left.
My thoughts are connect right hand pipe to manifold then left hand pipe put a tee piece in and then one pipe to old left hand pipe on water pump housing and the other pipe to heater.
Does this make sense ??????
Any Thoughts
