My stock aisan carb on my sj410 is not running right
It idle's alright, but when I put my foor down too fast, it drown and the engine stops, however, if i accalerate slowly, it does work.
I am guessing it's the accalerator pump, any ideas?
I was thinking of putting on another carb, tried buying one from china, but they send me the wrong one , but i might try adapting it to the engine, otherwise i will probably try a su carb
any help is greatly apreciated

It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Re: carb problems
I'd start with a simple strip and clean of the carb, there's a step by step guide on cleaning the jets here

Re: carb problems
I have totally stripped the carb, and cleaned everything, and put it back together, and no change.
I tried to get a carb kit for it, but is arrived and turned out to be the wrong kit, so i sent it back. I am really struggling to find a carbkit for it a reasonable price, so I was thinking i might do a conversion to a su, or something like that, unless i can find a normal priced kit, or a replacement aisan carb

Re: carb problems
Fair enough, they are usually reliable little carbs, not many seem to go wrong.
A HIF38 is your best bet for an SU they bolt straight onto the 410 inlet manifold

Re: carb problems
There's this write-up http://suzukiclubuk.co.uk/diy/15-engine ... 10-su-carb
Or the original I guess http://www.sj410.co.uk/su/install.html
All kits are sold out but still gives you an idea what sort of cable bracket you could make.

Re: carb problems
You don't actually need a kit, just port match the 410 inlet and the SU bolts straight up, all you need to do is make a cable bracket.
