Re: What model carb is this?
I see they do adaptors for that carb to suit all different angles so I don't see why you can't mod it a little to get it level. Maybe drill/file the chamber a little to locate it on the lug and keep it at the right level. Seems they are often fitted in pairs and the throttle return spring/s are fitted to a bracket of some type between the two, so I guess you can just make a bracket to suit the cable and spring.
Personally I know sod all about them , it's just what I've found "Googling"

Re: What model carb is this?
Thanks darell, i might do that. seems like your googling skills are better than mine, as I couldn't find a thing. do you also know which lever is what?
the left lever operates the assembly at the bottom of the carburettor, and needs a little more force to operate
Thanks,
govert
The right lever operates a butterfly valve, and moves real easy, the left lever operates the assembly at the bottom of the carburettor, and needs a little more force to operate
Thanks,
govert
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

I'm assuming things go like this.
Please anybody say if you see I'm making a balls up. 2005-GV 1600se, "Hell" What do I know!
Re: What model carb is this?
Thanks a lot darell, this really explains it all to me, and thinking about it, it makes sense too actually. could I just block off the engine breather hose? the hose that come of the rocker cover and goes in the airbox, had been spilling some oil and crap in the airbox before i got my rig, so i'm not too keen on putting this on my carb. so can i just block that one off?
and what darell marked cable bracket, does look a lot like a cable bracket, so well spotted darell!

Re: What model carb is this?
Yeah I've just got that breather blanked on my SU and the crank case breather goes back to the standard air box.
Do you have the bracket plate for the throttle cable that goes between the carb and manifold?

Re: What model carb is this?
Looking at the ones above its just a plate between the carb and manifold with a suitable bit added. Only found one pic searching for the bracket.

Re: What model carb is this?
If it's spitting a lot of oil into the air box then I'd whip the Pcv valve off and give it a clean, make sure it rattles etc, it's perfectly normal for a bit of oil to make its way into the air box though.
I'd personally keep the Pcv system connected if it was me.

Re: What model carb is this?
I will definetly keep it connected, but I will keep it on the airbox, and not my carb. I cleaned the tapet cover, which was full of oil sludge. do I need to clean anything else too regarding this matter?
And where is the pcv valve located?

Re: What model carb is this?
The Pcv valve is screwed into the top of the inlet manifold, the pipe that runs from the rocker to airbox should have a T-piece with another pipe running down to the Pcv valve
