Front bumper removal- sidelight & indicator options?

Post by theboy » Sun Jan 27, 2013 11:09 am

Think I'm going to remove the front bumper on my sammy today, where do you guys put the idicators and sidelights after?

I understand I can drill the headlight and put a universal sidelight in?

Is it possible to re-use the standard sidelight/indicator set up?

Looking at budget options!
Cheers

Original lights can be fitted into the bonnet. If you shop about the truck spares and accessories places, i got some small side ligts for my SJ for about £3 a piece.

I've fitted rubberlite hgv trailer side lights to my sammi. They were a bit more expensive but not mega bucks.

A photo. They will fit in the grill or light surround. I just didn't want to cut anything till i decided where to mount them permanantly.

I'll try and remember to get a photo of the SJs lights later today.

i assume it just depends on the look that you want and how creative you are with it. as long as there within MOT specifications you could be as individual as you like.
i like the look of the standard lights on the bonnet because it makes it look like the Lada Niva

You could mount the original units behind the mesh of the front grille. Tywrap around them and thorough the grille. Should be pretty tidy
