Hi I have just bought this sj needs some welding but can do it my self. ( I hope) got the car not knowing much about them but love driving the little thing around. I have one problem is that it has a home made fuel tank in the boot that holds around 30 litres in only made out of mild steel but when ever you use around 10-15 the car cuts out as if the is no fuel and all so the cab stinks of petrol so bad that you cant smell the fumes on you when you get out on Your cloths wanting to make my own if any body has any tips of what is the best way to make one up would be very thankful

:welcome: to the club

Fairly sure that was for sale in Darlington, although i've never seen it about. Think i found it on ebay.

On the fuel tank issue a lot of people fit plastic boat tanks http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewit ... 9428442204 or something similar.

Whats your exact location bud?

Awesome doesn't describe it.

All SJs are projects. You just keep throwing money at them, over and over and over. You'll have to start a build thread and stick a list of its current mods up and your plans too.

You done any off roading before?

And please tell me you are gonna paint / remove the transformers logo. Lol.

I would say there wasn't much you needed to do to it. As it is it should be pretty awesome in the mud. I don't like plugging other sites on here but north east laners is worth checking out. They get over that way. I've been out once with some of the lads and it was a brill day.
