416 exhaust

Anyone know if the 410 down pipe fits straight onto the 1.6 8v vitara engine exhaust manifold or if u have to use the 1.6 manifold and down pipe then weld the 410 exhaust onto it? thx

Even if it does it might be a touch restrictive on the 1600 if its different to the 1300 one.

The 1300 manifold goes straight to the 1600 so most do that. Dont know about the people who have done 410's but I guess if its different to a 410 they swap to a 1300 system.

I used the 1300 manifold and down pipe as it clears the chassis rail properly then made a custom exhaust after that.

so the 1300 manifold bolts straight onto the 1.6 engine? Im not sure which manifold is bolted onto the engine atm but my standard 1.0 down pipe looks a close fit

It might be a close fit but I'm pretty sure the ports are smaller on a 410 manifold which means you'll get really crappy exhaust flow through the headers. I'd get hold of a G13 exhaust manifold from a 413/Samurai.

I already have a custom pipe from the manifold back. Just gonna fit the 1300 manifold back on (kinda have no choice, the 1600 was missing, what did i want for £60)

i have got a spare 1.6 manifold if any one has a use for it

Ive just done a 1.6 conversion and the 1.0 exhaust will not fit in any way. I used a complete 1.3 exhaust system from front to back including the manifold. all fits and works. Even the 410 rear exhaust box is different to a 1.3.
