Dodgy Electrics...

Post by dan-wilks » Thu Feb 28, 2013 7:49 pm

Hi all have an sj 410 with dodgy wiring, i think maybe its something to do with the indicator stalk but my headlights will randomly switch off and come back on.
I believe it might be due to the indicator stalk because indicating left the stalk wont click on and also indicating can also cause the lights to flicker off, anyone have any other ideas that it could be?

Check all the fuses...if all ok take them out and give the fuse board a going over with a wire brush (gently, mind!). I had the same problem with my old 410 and this sorted it out!
If it ticks over...leave it

Had the same problem in mine - it was the indicator/light/wiper combo switch - binned it in mine and fitted retro switches.

I was thinking of changing mine as when u turn the stalk for the lights there is no clicking noise so it doesn't stay where i want it to if that makes sense
