Is this a standard 1.6 carb?

Can someone tell me what engine this is (i know its a g16a which is the spi 8v engine??)
But im not sure what carb is on it atm and weather or not its any good and worth leaving on. Any advice and info welcome :er:

its a g16a which is the 1.6 8v which came with either carb or SPI.

from the looks of it this is a standard carb vitara engine.

yeah i think it is, it looks like my carb! which is a standard 8v vitty one ;)

If its working and runs the engine then yeah.

If you can afford to shell out for a SU and modified manifold then it makes life a lot easier when things go wrong.

Ive never had any experience with an su. But my standard carb runs brilliant never failed on me starts up first time but Ithink my big twin batterys help :)
