Re: clutch gone :(
I used the cheapest crap euro car parts could get me (£50 for a 3 piece kit) and give it hell.
Never seen that before. The metal used for that pressure plate must be beyond Chinese!

Jesus! that has to be a manufactoring issue!, I have an ap racing clutch in mine and i give it loads of abuse and its lasted me about me 12 month but you get what you pay for... but id say the reason why your clutch has gone is due a to a manufactoring fault ive never see that happen

Re: clutch gone :(
That's got to be one of the worst clutch failures ever. The whole thing has just crumbled.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Borg and Beck are usually alright, they are OEM on a number of vehicles. Its probably a counterfeit but I would send that pic to B&B and ask them to investigate what went wrong - keep the evidence.hamer wrote:haha has anyonme els used a borg and beck?
There was a court case years ago after Ford published an advert showing one of their clutches next to a (clearly identifiable) Borg and Beck; the advert said something about how much more superior an OEM clutch was to an aftermarket. B&B sued Ford for defamation or whatever and won easily as they supplied all of Ford's clutches.
