Awsome A very pleasant chap is richard.
Re riming sounds a great idea. And legal too. As far as im aware Banding a rim or cuting and moving
The centre for more offset isnt technically legal. But re riming a wheel using the original centre mounted to a new rim
is perfectly legal. I could be chatting crap tho

Never mentioned legal issues. So long as its all done properly i can't see any reason why not.

I just couldn't believe he can do me new rims and weld it all up cheaper than i can buy new.

So it'll be a trip to his in a week or two to pay and collect one lot and drop another off. Once i measure up my axles casings if i have a f & r sammi case i might get a price for him to truss them.

He's a very knowledgable chap. And by everyones reports exceptionally good at what he does.

I never knew he did so much. A mate of mine has a custom 1979 kawasaki and needs one off alloy sprockets. I'm gonna get the one he has and see if Richard can make it for him.

It's gonna delay progress a bit getting wheels made but it'll be mad. I'll get as much off set as i can. And now i have spare axles i'll get prices for trussing off him. Real handy bloke to know i'm finding out.

He's on doing a batch of rocklobsters now so yours might be in there too.

He said converting the SPi manifold to SU was a ballache so i'm gonna get another 1300 one done instead. Got plenty now.

Fancy meeting up for a beer or something if you're heading this way?
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I'm hoping i haven't made a stupid mistake here but against Richards advice and fighting my own better judgement i've bought some 15x10 alloys.

One wheel has damaged stud holes. It came loose on the last guys Zuk and elongated them.

I'm going to get some quotes to repair the damaged wheel. Corrosion doesn't seem too bad up close but i'm not a wheel expert. Failing that i should make my money back in scrap ally value or selling the good wheels as spares maybe.

See how it goes. If they can be repaired and it's not mega bucks i'm onto a bargain. If the sister in law still works for a powder coat place i could also get a freebie there.

Well if they are a bargain then you can only give them a go.

Satin black centres and mirror polished rims? :doublethumbs:
