well after last sunday i seem to have broken something and my input shaft bearing seems kaput would this cause the sj to make LOUD banging noises from the front while driving in 4wd (this was on the dirt) it kind of feels like my front diff is locking but being new to 4wd the steps i have taken are front end up on axle stands in gear hubs locked and selected 4wd:

spin each wheel individually other turns opposite (bit of a delay 1/5 of a spin 33" tyres) both do the same

got a brother to spin the same way wheels wouldn't rotate figured this was correct

so from that i put half shafts and possible diff out of line of being broken then i read about wiggling the transfer shaft to check the input bearing and wow does it move could this be the culprit ? :S
