Welcome to the club.
That just looks like a Samurai injection fuel tank to me.
Can a petrol pump be used for diesel
Does the diesel engine need a pump in the tank
Any chance of a pic of what came out and what's wrong with it.

Re: suzuki sj lift pump (in fuel tank)
ah ok, I couldn't find one with the lift pump point in it like mine.
this is the lift pump, is all pretty minging in the tank, so glad its broken in a way as I get to clean it all up.
and the snapped feed and return pipes on the top, although looking at it don't see why I couldnt drill out the old pipe and replace it as long as I seal it up, you reckon could work ok?

Pic of a Samurai petrol pump.
I thought the pump on the engine just sucked the fuel from the tank.

The late SPI Sammy Sports have that pump.
Try Mike Harris or Try Jubilee clip some hose directly to whats left if its meaty enough.

The fuel pickup on my normal tank is snapped to a similar size. I just used Dans method. Rubber pipe and jubilee clip. Been on 4 years now.

Re: suzuki sj lift pump (in fuel tank)
mine started as a 1.3 samurai sport, n reg too so quite new.
that sounds like it should work ok, I reckon I can save it still.
nice one for the links, maybe he's got a drivers door left which I need also
