handbrake on 410 it was a seized cable

you can try to use a pry bar and a hammer, hit the prybar with the hammer, this will have a similar effect as an impact drive, just not quite as effective, but might work a little. I was thinking maybe putting the tbox in 4wd and locking the front wheels might stop it from turning while you try to get it undone

I tried it in 4wd and everything but the vehicle nearly rolled away
I'm going to get my hands on a impact gun to make things easier

I found a longer pri bar and it worked I got the 27mm nut undone :smokin:
Took the drum off and pads look alright so I decided to take the cable off and it was seized

It is a good thing as I have it hanging in my garage slowly feeding oil into the cable and it has un seized a little bit
So I am leaving it all night to soak in oil

Put a new cable on you cheap ass! It only cost me £40 for a cable and two sets of shoes.

Nice to see it of and I left mine in a bucket of diesel for a couple of days then got a new one they dont cost a lot

I need new pads anyway looked on eBay 21 quid

But I will see what the pads are like in my spare t box

While you're on Daz, any chance you can measure from the drum centre to the adjuster hole centre please?

Neither of my drums have the hole so i need to drill it.

Yeahs thats the one bud.

Also the hole diameter too please. Need to get mine all adjusted up. Might be an idea to bolt it to the handbrake lever too.
