Not sure whats going on with that. Is it cracking? Or just marks in the casting?

I haven't a clue. They are tiny crack but Iif you look closer youb
Can see tiny little balls like ali spatter that has seeped out the
Cracks ????

Well ill have to wait and see

Have you looked at your other engines, see if they look similar?

Is it flaking at all?

Ive got a Spanish engine thats smooth in that area but my 413 engine
Has couplevof similar marks. Maybe it's just poor casting?

I dont think its anything serious. Just the casting and metal ageing.

If its not flaking or peeling i would worry about it. I've never known any SJ engines to crack or split.
