Re: suzuki sj
Ive just bought a '91 SJ Samurai and although it has rear seats they aren't fitted and they aren't that impressive - only lap belt, no headrest etc.
Having a look at the problem this evening I wondered if the two outside rear seats of my wife's 2004 Citroen Xsara Picasso might fit, so I tried them. Guess what, they are a snug fit between the rear wheel arches. So I'm considering buying a pair as they should be available quite cheaply, and if I sort out mounting brackets that replicate the ones in the Picasso it would would:
Allow me to put the seats in and out quite easily
Allow me to fold the backs on to the bases (okay, can do that with the standard ones)
Allow me to fold them forward
Provide a headrest that can be lowered out of the way
Deliver a guide for the shoulder for a three point inertia reel seatbelt (assuming I can get a mount in the right place)
So the question, "has anyone done this before"?

Re: suzuki sj
I had a set of mint rear seats from a 410 that I gave away.
