calipers

Post by dan_2k_uk » Thu Aug 27, 2009 6:07 pm

is the difference between jap and spanish worth worrying about when doing my rear disc conversion. i would be nice to get spanish because i would use the same pads allround but dunno if its worth worrying about.

also scott (and anyone else whos got one) im gunna get the x-brake. was it easy to fit. it says on their site i need a flange for the t-box.

have u still got that exploded t-box i gave u for a spare flange?

As for the calipers, I dont think there is much difference, I have spanish on the front of mine and jap on the back. but before you fit them check the piston size, if they are the same size it doesn't matter, if one is larger than the other you need the largest on the front.

As for the flange, think i have a spare if i can get it off, gime a shout if you need it.

Have you thought about doing the 600 conversion?

Save yourself £150 on the X brake?

thanks alot.

Also the cables to my rear drums have long been rusted and chopped off and i have a t-box drum at the moment so its a easy change.

i know its a waste of money really but i just like the whole idea of keeping it the same parts front and back.
