Selkirk Vintage Rally 2013

Post by Andrew413 » Mon May 20, 2013 8:57 pm

Hi all!
Round my way up in Scotland we have this local rally that's held every year (last year cancelled however), not too sure what's happening about the show yet, as i say it was cancelled last year this was due to the mess the cars were leaving the field and everyone got stuck! The rally website says they think they have sorted the problem and are aiming to go ahead this year. My dads got forms through to enter and I would like to enter my samurai this year, does anyone on here go too it or would be willing too? I thought it would be pretty cool to have a SCUK stand at the show, great weekend and hell if it gets rainy and the field gets all ruts we'd have the right motor to get out! Basically show up the Saturday then there is a drinks marquee on the Saturday night most folk camp it then Sunday there is a drive taking in the views of the Scottish Borders then the showing and judging of the cars. Anyone fancy it providing its going ahead?

Got some details on price 2 quid per car that is for two adults, under fifteens go free. And camping is ten quid a pitch. From what I can see they Defo want it too go ahead, it's the third Sunday in September.

15th September. Thats a no go. Wife is due the week after so given the "what if it's early" scenario i'd get my head and hands to play with if i went.

Looks like a good weekend too. I like all the real old vintage stuff.

As much as Jordi will probably moan at me for not willing to drive hundreds of miles, I would probably give this one a miss im afraid! Its just too damn far!!!
