So what about the pulleys? I got a v belt pulley can I just weld the flat belt one to it?

I would swap your alt pulley over to a multi V belt and run a vit double pulley so that you run multiV belts on both, saves messing about with a cut and shut pulley that might end up out of balance or not true.

Just re read this and it says it needs moving to clear standard rad mounts.

As i'm fitting a vit rad on custom mounts presume i can leave the pump where it is?

If you cut the mounting tab on the chassis a bit. Or you could extend the slider and collapse the bracket and try the pump in the standard position which I think Ferris runs. Shorter belt I think.
