Right according to Autodata it says the Sj413 engine stat opens at 88degrees and the vitara 8v engine stat opens at 82 degrees... only 6 degrees difference but the next thing is are the the two stats the same size? id think they would be ?

I'll check tomorrow. I fitted the 1.3 stat as the 1.6 was a different fit and didn't sit right in the 1.3 manifold.

Did your 1.6 stat have a rubber ring around it? If so just remove that and it should fit?

Maybe

And yeah run the 1.3 sender ;)

When I was on my 1.6 8v and the SU, I ran it with a 1300 stat and a 1300 sensor
