2000 Grand Vitara 1600 improve performance???

Post by apwbee » Wed Jun 05, 2013 11:15 pm

I have had my vitara a few months now, and just want to improve the performance 'a bit'. Its the little 1.6 and i am not the smallest chap in the world and as such could do with some more poke. Can anyone recommend anything? such as custom exhausts? sporty air filters? uprated plugs and leads? And before anyone comes up with the suggestion i want something for my birthday and losing a few stone isnt really doable in the next 2 weeks?

Cheers

Adrian

It was pricey but i fitted a stainless powerflow exhuast to my old volvo 480 and i was surprised how much difference it made.

It was over £500 10 years ago. When my Zuk exhaust dies its either going to powerflow or Wunoff.

On the performace i had a 58' plate 1.6 GV. It was never gonna set the world on fire with its performance.

If it's a 2000 1.6 Vitara will it be MPFI? If it is try getting the ECU remapped. It can make a big differece to some cars.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.
