Just wondered if any1 could help me, i got a weber carb off ebay, just turned up today, dont really no how to fit it, theres no adapter plate just wots on the photo, how do i fit this, do i need the plate? can i make one, which way do i bolt this on.....? any help or photos of one of these fitted would be a great help, im a bit simple! lol. cheers steve
Just taken old carb off now realise why i need the adapter, do i need to cut the 2 circles out of my manifold where the old carb meets it? and do i just bypass the water pipes off the old carb together and seal the vaccum pipes?

Re: Help with weber carb?
No you shouldn't need to cut the manifold but it would be so much easier with adapter. Looking at it now is how it should be when viewed from driver side, I'm think but its been a while. Tramp will know

Re: Help with weber carb?
Sorry, yeah, I meant to reply to this yesterday but forgot! sorry!
This is the weber 'kit' that comes with all the adaptors, you can see the cast mounting adaptor with gaskets, this brings one of the weber venturis closer to the other so it fits on the manifold, you dont have to cut the bit between the holes (on the manifold) out at all because the adaptors made to fit to it.
Is have thought the adaptor and gaskets would be available from a weber dealer

And yeah, just connect the water pipes through, manifold to manifold. The vaccum pipes I connected to themselves (A & B on the photo below) you need the vaccum advance for the distributer (C)
On this photo you can see D is your mixture and E is your idle adjustment
