Kind of urgent. Muddy zook split plates

Has anyone had any issues fitting the muddy zook split bearing plates
To Spanish sami back plates?

Or are they simply cut old one off ans wack new plates over?

I tried to use them on my sj when i did my conversion but they would not fit right. I thought they only worked if you used the muddy zook rear brake conversion.
86 SJ413 tin top, 1.6 8v, SU carb, YJ spring conversion, virtual lift, 33x12.5x15 KL71's, rocklobster, rear discs, power steering.

They should fit with a normal back plate. Or one cut down as a spacer with a rear disc.
