Re: Did Twiss make it home?
Hahah yeah cheers Jordi, I made it home driving carefully in 2.5 hours... not bad considering the satnav said 2 hours 15 mins!!!
Bloody annoying truck, breaks down in as many ways possible on the way over, then is fine on the way back!!!

Possibly had something to do with all the replacement parts and less drag off having no front prop.

Re: Did Twiss make it home?
Its annoyed me that alternator, considering I had no warning! If I'd known I would have swapped it before I left!!!
Its funny that the 2 parts I was really worried about (gearbox and rear diff) survived both ways with no hassle (diff aint gonna last long though lol)
There wouldn't have been much drag anyway as I had my free wheelers unlocked the entire time!

Re: Did Twiss make it home?
hahah epic weekend that hopefully doesnt involve half rebuilding my bloody truck!
as i say its been running pretty well on the way home... rear axle is holding up apart from the dying diff, no oil leakage... sorting the front diff oil seals should resolve the rest of my axle oil leaks!
gonna sort out the front prop tonight as i actually do have a large ended prop to steal the flange bit from
Ive got this friday off as well for my birthday, so as a birthday treat for myself I can finish off the rest of it, then if i don't smash it up beforehand it should make wagtail just like that!!!
