I swapped the cast mounts from the sammi block to the vit block and ended up using a sammi rubber mount on passenger side and the vit rubber mount on the drivers side.

All seems to fit together ok.

Are you using an adaptor plate or the welded rod method for the gear box mount?

Dont forget gearbox needs drilling too.

The top two gear box holes need drilling out to 12mm i think as the bolts that go into the G16 block are thicker.

The studs on the gear box are in the wrong place and need an adaptor plate or the threaded rod method.

This is a photo of the rod method. You unscrew the studs and screw them into the back. Line the gear box up and put threaded bar into the hole in the engine and another piece of bar between the stud and bar in the engine and weld them together.

Thanks goes to Dan for that info (atleast thats where i got it from)

Just need to drill the top two gear box holes to 12mm then.

yea, i wondered about that when i read it. i didnt know they had to be drilled out but ive managed to get a bold through the one on the passenger side and it seems ok. but the driver side wouldnt go through, i figured because of the dowel, so im just gunnu get a longer thinner bolt and put a nut on the other side.

Fairly sure you will need to use the propper vitara bolts on the top two as they are screw into the block.

yea, il have to have a closer look tommorow, but like i said ive managed to get one to screw into the block. i think it was just luck as i dont have the origional bolts for that, it was just an odd one i found kicking about. i cant find another bolt, weird thread.

Hmmmmm. Interesting how that odd bolt went in. I don't like the sound of it though.
