Sun burn peeling nicely!
I can confirm i definately got sunburn over the weekend. My shoulders are a nice shade of pink and very flakey.
I can also confirm putting sun tan cream on when you are covered in mud had no great effect on how much / little you burn. It just turns into a brown paste which ends up smeared everywhere.
I do think the mud all over my arms may have reduced the burning to a certain degree though as my arms are not burnt and peeling.
Note to self, more mud on shoulders next time!

Re: Sun burn peeling nicely!
When I first went to Bulgaria I got 2nd degree burns from that pesky thing in the sky. Massive, seeping, liquid filled blisters all over both shoulders, and ended up going to A&E over here, where they uncaringly scrubbed the would with what felt like Brillo pads and salt and vinegar chips.
The pics were post clean, and when it started healing up.

Sounds awesome. Salt and vinegar brillo pads for sunburn.

I think that was maybe the problem Twiss not enough gear oil or possibly the wrong consistency mud. Next time i'll try sun tan cream then mud on top. Instead of mud then sun tan cream.twiss wrote:Sorry to hear that Jordi! Maybe mix in a bit more gear oil next time

Re: Sun burn peeling nicely!
Are you going to be driving it or trailering it? I'll bring the welded one if you need a spare
You'd have to change it again later but it would be entertaining

I have spares
It's gonna be trailered again. My dad is getting a tow bar fitted to his flatbed sprinter so we can bring both of them
I feel guilty trailering it. Need to get it up to full health again, driving it to Billing was so much more satisfying.
