Vit diffs would make the revs higher.

I wouldn't worry too much. I got a 5 speed box for Helens 410 and haven't even got round to fitting it yet.

We use it for the occasional long trip every now and again and it happily cruises along at 60 and easily pulls to 70 to overtake stuff.

The F10 is an amazing revvy little engine.

The highest bolt on gearing you will get is 5 speed box, Sammy diffs in 413 cases, 1300 transfer box, and the biggest tyres you can fit under the arches.

However you probably wont be able to pull away!!

Maybe someone could make a Road-lobster transfer box using the opposite halfs of the two gears. :smokin:

well if I do what you've said, 5 speed box, 413 axles with sammy diffs, keep my 410 transfer box and fit 31's will that help? I should be able to pull away with that setup then shouldn't I?

I don't want to over do it and end up making it stall instead of pulling away lol..

Well according to a gear ratio calculator you will be doing 127mph flat out.

If you stuck to your current tyres you would be doing 80mph at 4000rpm.

This is all hypothetical though as if you cant pull away or you over gear it so much the engine cant beat the rolling resistance of the tyres or the air resistance you wont be going anywhere.

haha I wouldn't dare do 127mph lol, I'm only looking at driving no faster than 60mph, so what would my revs be at 60 with 29" tires, as that's what my tires are overall..

3384 rpm but I doubt it would be able to get there. The peak power is at 5,000 rpm and peak torque at 3,500 rpm so if you are under that power band its probably not going to like it.

(thats with a 5 speed box, 410 t-box, sammy diffs, 29" tyes)

I've been through loads of different combos (mainly just for my amusement) and by far the best option is to fit just the 5 speed box.

Probably why Suzuki designed it like that. :D

I would advise against running samurai diffs with a F10a engine, it will struggle! especially if you fit larger tyres. If you fit 413 axles use 413 diffs not samurai diffs.

Just the 5 speed gearbox will do the trick, the F10a does not have the low down torque to do high speeds at low revs.

:suzuki: didn't just slap in any odd ratios that they thought would work, it is geared as it is for a reason, If you want to fit larger tyres you will ideally need to lower the gearing. raising the gearing will just suck the power out of the engine and the F10 hasn't got much power to start with
