Mine's all standard and I still think it's too loud.

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Think it depends on the set up, mine with the mk2 gti front box was pretty loud when cruising at 50mph and I got fed up of it after a year  I like to be able to talk to a passenger, not shout  It wasn't too bad at low speeds at low rpm though.
Gave up talking, with the roof slapping about and the tiers there is to much noise :hahaha:

Wow, didn't expect so many replies ! Haha. Cheers for all your input chaps, much appreciated. Given it a lot of thought and think I'll stay standard for now, knowing me I'll probably change my mind in a couple of months :D Eddie.

If I was going to get a fancy exhaust made I'd take advantage of the Siamese manifold and have dual pipes all the way to the rear.

Double the silencing, IN STEREO!
